Executive Coaching
Coaching not about how to run your business, but more about how to run yourself. Coaching is not
mentoring, where an experienced expert in your area of business provides advice for your business. We can all lose
track and focus of what we are about and where our goals are. Sometimes life can get in the way of you having the
life you want. Coaching will allow you the opportunity to minimise interference and maximise performance.
Coaching provides the questions rather than giving ready-made answers. In coaching, the client is
the expert in their field, the coach has the skills and knowledge to ask the questions that will unlock the answers
for the client.
How does it work?
Coaching can be face-to-face or over the telephone, depending on where you are based and your preference. Where
possible, I offer a combination of both. By way of example, this could be one hour face-to-face and three
thirty-minute telephone sessions per month.
Is telephone coaching as good as face-to-face coaching?
What information or benefits derived specifically from working face-to-face are often more than made up for by
what is positively experienced early on in telephone coaching. Two of the most common benefits reported are:
1) the comfort and safety of a familiar and supportive environment in which coaching takes place and; 2) the
convenience and time-saving aspect of being coached from the home or workplace. As with most activities,
it will suit some more than others and for this reason I offer a combination of both.
