Conflict Management

While we are all set at a deep level to get on with our fellow human beings it’s not always possible for life to work out like that. People all bring their own agenda’s to work and the work environment is typically where we moderate ourselves to fit in with the work environment and the people we work with. When two people’s individual adaptations are in opposite directions to each other’s, conflict can arise.

And that can be a starting point in re-framing the conflict. Each has their own useful adaptation which is a normal. Getting to a point of resolution and restoration of a useful partnership is a goal for this type of work situation.

Having an independent arbitrator can bring an openness to the situation that can convert the situation from deadlock to move towards resolution. This does not mean all parties will end up happy in that situation – it can sometimes, but usually a fundamental change occurs. Paramount is to maintain all party’s values while removing the points of  friction between the parties. Separation is the least desired resolution but that does happen.

Management through the issues of any conflict is where Clare can help.
